Let Beauty Bloom
The village of El Florido sits in a neighborhood of Tijuana right across the border from San Diego. The name means “full of flowers” but unfortunately, despair often blossoms here. Families that live in El Florido have the same hopes and dreams that you and I have – a safe home, happy children, and health. But poverty, lack of education, and rampant domestic violence mar the garden that El Florido could be.
There is hope…
In an effort to stop the cycle of poverty, Bloom Beauty Academy exists to give women, with little to no education, the opportunity to flourish within a career in the beauty industry. Our students come without hope for their future . As they learn about their new craft, they are able to truly see a better life for themselves and for their children.

Masterclass is Blooming!
This year will be our 4th annual Masterclass! Stylists, barbers, nail artists, makeup artists, and estheticians travel to Mexico from all over the U.S. to provide advanced training to Bloom’s students and graduates. We are so grateful for our education team for giving so much to our students. This experience was life changing for both the deserving women who attended AND the beauty educators who gave their time and talent to them.
This year’s Masterclass will be October 11-17, 2026.

Bloom Barber Academy
We are so proud to be serving the community of El Florido with a barbering course for more people to provide support for their families. Now in our 3rd year, we have successfully graduated more than 50 students into the work force in Tijuana.
A professional pair of clippers in the hands of a trained barber can support a family of 5 in Mexico. With your generosity, we can see more men and women have successful careers in the hair industry.
Our Mission
Bloom Beauty Academy seeks to provide women in El Florido Mexico, with an education in hair, nails, makeup, skin care, and salon business in order to live a successful and dignified life.

The 6-month cosmetology courses that we offer our students allows them to learn all facets of the beauty industry. The classes we provide are:
